Wondering what the future would soon unfurl
I took your hand and held you closer
Imagine what life was like with you in my heart
And how it is so miserable now that I’m without you
You promised if I cried, you’d cry
You promised if I ever needed you, you’d be here in a second
I promised to love and treasure you till the end of time
I promised that nothing could ever take us out of this moment
All the broken promises made so far in the past
Everything I thought to be true is now nothing but a shattered dream
I believed that you would be with me and always last
And that we were perfect in fates twisted seams
I knew at this moment that nothing could tear us apart
That you were that special someone I’ve been told to wait for all my life
I can’t believe I’ve been such a fool and give up my heart
To even think that you could be the one I shared my life
That morning seemed to be the perfect heaven
And every moment after would be nothing but more bliss
I love you so much beyond what you could even imagine
I believed that both our fates could be sealed with this kiss
